Parents, carers and the community

As a parent or carer, you are an important part of our school community. We offer a range of services to support you and your family.

Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C)

Our Parents and Citizens’ Association (P&C) is made up of parents and carers, teachers and community members. The P&C meets regularly to contribute to decision-making, developing policies and management plans as well as fundraising.

P & C meet on the first Thursday of each month during the school term, 5.30pm in the school staffroom, and are usually wrapped up by 7pm.

Principal, Mr Yvan Chambers, attends every meeting, presenting his report to keep members up to date, and to receive feedback. Deputy Principal, Mrs Janine Nelson, also attends, as do various staff members from time to time. If you are interested in knowing what is happening around our school, this is the place to be.

Attending P & C meetings gives you the opportunity to hear information, provide comment and feedback, and express thoughts and new ideas. It is not a place to air personal grievances; we are all about creating a positive environment for the benefit of all student.

Please don't feel like you will be expected to attend every meeting. you are not, but we would love to meet you and hear what you have to say.

We also have the pleasure of being involved with the annual "Hay Services Club Debutante Ball", a gala evening involving our students and ex students, where P & C receive a substantial donation for our efforts.

Membership to the P&C is only $1.00 per year and is valid from one AGM to the next.

Everyone is most welcome to come along and join our discussions.
